2008-2009 concert season
"Bulgaria open to the world"
Dear Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends of "Orpheus" chamber orchestra,
On the 18th of September this year was the first concert of our orchestra wih which we started season 2008/2009.
It is a great pleasure for me, from the site of "Orpheus", to inform you about everything we - the musicians and our dear guests, will represent for you.
Music connects people in a unique way, so from our concerts you will learn much more about us and the new place of Bulgaria in the diversity of the European cultural partnership.
The accents in the concert program of the season 2008/2009 are:
* September 2008 - World premiere of a composition for Tuba, strings and computer version by Michail Goleminov (BG)
* March 2009 - World premiere of "5 songs for soprano, harp and string orchestra" by Andy Orgee (UK)
* April 2009 - Lynn Kuo - violin, Rachel Merser - violonchello, Marianna Humetska - piano, Michael Pepa - composer, our guests from Toronto, Canada
* May 2009 - Duo Nota Bene Salzburg - Eva Steinschaden - violin and Alexander Vavtar - piano with Orpheus Chamber orchestra
